MOONLIGHT AND DREAMZ

Welcome to my world of dreams where imagination and reality, fancy and truth, laughter and tears move hand in hand. I will let you have a glimpse at the share of my own sky, sometimes sunshine bright, and sometimes with rainstorm. I will take you to memories that are like a serene glow of moonlight, a whisper of mountain breeze, and a rushing gushing brook.

    waiting ...

    for http://dversepoets.com/
    http://poetryblogroll.blogspot.in/2013/03/poetry-pantry-143.html

How long are you going to wait for him?
The night has fallen. Go home, woman!
    There might be a storm.
The dust on the street is swirling
with the stray paper and plastic bags,
    night has consumed the signboards, windows;
buses, scooters, flashes have turned around the culvert
and now there’s only a left over sound.
The insomniac night is seeping into the breath of the trees,
the insomniac night is licking the roof,
there’s a strange restlessness in nearby skyscrapers,
    night is swallowing the shadows.
    Go home woman
wait for the man, no more.
    Go and see
The day that you had left behind
    fell asleep waiting for you.

    how long do you wait....
not an easy question to answer...i guess it depends on who you wait for...and if the hope we have that they will come back is founded...i think that some dont understand our faith in waiting at times...but also the flip, sometimes people dont want to see the cause as hopeless so we fool ourselves as well...

like the vividness of which you paint the streets...

Definitely like "insomniac night"!!! and "night is swallowing the shadows".

Turning around in the culvert to see the day left behind - so day waiting night, night waiting day, woman, man, the swirl. Whew!!!

(I got the title this time) :)

Oh, you have created some powerful lines, here... night swallowing signboards, etc. ... licking the roof... your message to the woman is made more effective by your well-wrought imagery.

Beautiful. The ending is exceptional. Picturing the day falling asleep waiting. Really demonstrates how long she waited. This poem has its sadness. Waiting for someone who never comes.....poignant, well penned.

    Verily Poignant and Melancholic..

Well Penned with Imagery of The Ambiance,Correlating Realms of Night,Street, etc haunting in its wrenching pain for The Woman. The Time and Space is really apt and they Make The Impact of The Cosmic Loneliness,The Waiting,The Pining,The Pain ,The Loss felt by The Female Human..

    Now

    Woman! Apt again.

IMO Its a Powerful Way to address a Female Human.

    All Together, Exquisite & Beautiful.

    Yet

for All Its Comely Melancholic Darkness in The Write and The Impact there of, Counting in and countering, I would say

Behold The One, The Advent is here again ..:)

    and hence, Arise and Shine,
for The Light has come !!

and Sleep in a Slumber as The Prince of Peace & Solace has finally Manifested again casting of All Insomnia, leading to The Power of Peace..:)

'The insomniac night is seeping into the breath of the trees,'...wow, love that. This piece reminds me of the segment in the Song of Solomon where the Shulamite is searching for her groom. Lovely writing!

I love this! There is such drama created in contrast with the image, and your particular twist had me hoping for another outcome. The last line is the emotional clincher!

Time to wait and time to go! The waiting can be exhaustive but go fleetingly away for some occasions. Nicely Dr Baishali!
