A few favorite things ...

written for Jingle poetry potluck
also for Ting's Tuesday thankfulness
http://www.tingtasy.com/

The spoilt crayons here and there
The smell of mud and dust from your hair

The bubble bath, those rhymes and everything
That soccer like eyes and the lullaby I used to sing

That little pillow, the mickey mouse and choco chips
The baby cereals and the fruit jam on your lips

The tiny seat of the bicycle and small cars all around
That unnoticed painting on my white wall and your giggling sound

The swings in the park, Noddy’s Toyland, the story of a knight
The scent and shade of your childhood that I clutch so tight

These memories are a few favorite things that let me live
Darling I am made of you; I am made of the love that you give.

Nothing more joyous than the love of a child than maybe a mother's love.

^ Thank you so much everyone. I am touched at all your comments and response.

The little guy of my poem is a teenager now, a 14 year old, my best friend, taller than me and very often acts too big for his boots :-) ... but very much a strong and steadfast pillar beside me at every step of my life, sensitive and protective to my every state of mind. :)
My motherhood is the best thing that has happened to me and those early childhood memories are the most precious gift that I could ever have.

Lovely images of childhood drift into the poem supported by the comfort of a mother's love.

Being a mother is one of the joyous journey in her life. A mother can feel their lives by nurturing their children. And there was nothing in our heart but all goodness that we can share to our children. You are both lucky to have you each other and binded with your great love. Thanks for sharing the inspirational poem. I can relate it.
